The Leam Boat Centre is based in beautiful Jephson Gardens along the river in Leamington Town Centre. The park’s old Victorian boathouse was renovated thirteen years ago as part of the Millennium Project and it is now a thriving centre of activity.
It’s a lovely place to come for a day out as a family; row boats, motor boats and pedalos can be hired as and when you arrive and floating along the river for a carefree, sunlit hour is a wonderful experience. For more adventurous visitors, canoes and kayaks are also available for hire. The Leam Boat Centre also gives lessons in canoeing and kayaking and can cater to all levels of experience, from taster sessions for beginners through to training courses for instructors. Paddle Power kayak courses are held throughout the holidays for children to get their first taste of the sport. It might turn into a lifelong passion!

Kids Boating Lake
The boating lake is only 2 and half feet deep, so youngsters can try out a wide range of boats in an enclosed area supervised by us. You can relax, have a cup of tea while your children have fun!
Canoes and Kayaks
Hire 1, 2 or 3 man Canadian canoes, or 1 & 2 man Kayaks. There are child-sized kayaks and paddles so kids can paddle solo from age 6 and up. Hourly, half day or full day rates available.
Pedalos
There is a range of Pedalos so kids can pedalo on their own or with adults in the bigger boats. Super stable the boats are untippable – great fun for 2 to 5 people!
Family Row Boats
Located in the prestigious Jephson Gardens Park we use traditional Victorian rowing skiffs. They glide through the water with minimal effort and provide a relaxing vista on the surrounding gardens! Max capacity 4 adults.
Motor Boats
Environmentally-friendly electric motors are used on family-friendly motor boats. Maximum capacity is 4 or 5 adults. Simple to operate and very stable, they’re a pleasant way to explore the nature reserve from the river. Turbo Paddlers The turbo paddlers are there for the younger generation! Children from age 3 can use them on their own. Only £3 for 20 minutes!
