Once the home of the Verney or Willoughby de Broke family, the house was rescued by the Compton Verney House Trust, who purchased it with a generous grant from the Peter Moores Foundation.
The restoration took ten years to complete. It has an award-winning art gallery with national and international collections, extensive grounds and a restaurant.
